Bethesda Bagels
REBRAND & LOGO DESIGN
For this project, I reimagined the brand identity of Bethesda Bagels, a well known bagel shop that originated in my hometown in Maryland and has since expanded throughout the D.C. area. Although the brand is beloved and successful, its longtime mascot - the “bagel man superhero” - often received mixed reactions from customers. My goal was to redesign the logo to better reflect the shop’s warm, local, and welcoming personality while maintaining its recognizable charm.
Using Adobe Illustrator, I created a refreshed logo that removed the cartoon mascot but retained a playful tone through a simple bagel graphic with a bite mark. I refined the color palette and typography to align with the new design direction and give the brand a more contemporary, cohesive feel.

Primary logo redesign
To extend upon the updated identity, I developed a secondary mascot logo, custom icons, business cards, and branded mockups that demonstrated how the new visual system could work across real world applications. This project sparked my interest and strengthened my skills in logo design, visual identity development, and brand cohesion.
