Barre Buddy

UI/UX & APP INTERFACE DESIGN

Barre Buddy is a fitness scheduling app I created to help users stay consistent with their barre workouts by simplifying how they find, book, and track classes that fit their schedules. The idea stemmed from my own challenge of staying committed to barre classes due to time constraints and inconsistent studio offerings. Barre Buddy solves this by acting as a personal scheduling assistant. Users input their weekly availability and preferences for class type, difficulty, and distance, then the app curates nearby options that best match their criteria.

The design process mostly took place in Adobe Illustrator. I focused on creating an intuitive and motivating experience that reflects the atmosphere of a barre studio. The project involved ideating the app, creating a moodboard, designing a pattern library, developing detailed user flow maps and wireframes, and finally culminated in crafting a complete interactive prototype in Adobe XD.

By combining personalization, structure, and visual harmony, the app transforms the often stressful process of scheduling workouts into a seamless and encouraging experience.

In the initial phases of the process, I created a wireframe to demonstrate user-flow, a mood board to express the personality and tone, and a pattern library filled with design elements that would be used in the app.
